NOW AVAILABLE in Chesapeake, VA
Masha and I left Orange County on Friday May 25 at 5 PM and arrived at our new home in Chesapeake, VA at 8:30 PM on Memorial Day (Monday May 28). We made record time because we slept in the car with my two Boston terriers and just took turns driving. A few minor mishaps …. some one sideswiped the rear panel of my car while we were a a rest area. It was hit and run unfortunately but its minor so no big deal and Masha accidentally backed my rear bumper into the trailer hitch and put a hole in it ….both mishaps covered by Allstate Insurance as one claim. Easy fix. Masha says that now my car is “Human” because it has an “ass hole” hahahaha LOL
We made it in one piece although because we were in sitting position for like 75 hours … minus a few hours for stretching every 3 hours to get gas and potty breaks ….. our feet swelled up bad. By Monday morning they were so swollen that we had pain but after a good nights sleep the swelling went down. The entire week after our arrival my left foot continued to swell and cramp so badly that I was fearful of blood clot. I was seriously contemplating going to urgent care but all seems to be okay now.
Here it is one week later ….. NOW I am ready to get back to work. Loving the house and my two Bostons seem VERY HAPPY to have such a big space to live in. I am still waiting for the 6 foot privacy fence and sod to be installed this week so they will not experience their new back yard freedom for another 2 weeks. I have to allow 7 – 10 days for the sod to take root before they can enjoy the back yard but for now they are getting used to inside so all in good time.
