HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014
Well I got back New Years Eve from visiting family for the holiday. It was so nice to be with my family but it was REALLY great to be back home. The day before my trip I was in a car accident in San Pedro on the Vincent Thomas bridge and my Prius was totaled. Five days ago an SUV had the same kind of accident, in the exact same spot but both people in front of car was decapitated by the big rig they ran into. Me and Molly were TOTALLY not harmed in any way and I feel so blessed to be alive. There is a stop light between the two bridges that is situated in the middle of nowhere and extremely hard to see until you are right up on it. Why there is no flashing warning light I don’t know. Hopefully now that there are two deaths involved maybe the city will decide to put up some kind of warning. Needless to say I will NEVER drive over that bridge again. Thankfully there is another route thats only five minutes longer.
I was smart to get GAP insurance added to my car with Toyota Financial so my loan has been covered 100% and my regular car insurance has already issued settlement amount that is only $200 below the payoff and includes my $1,000 deductible. Having the GAP insurance gave me total piece of mind, knowing that I had the balance of my loan covered no matter what. It definitely helped me go into my holiday with my family with NO stress at all about the car. I’ve already purchased another car but this time I just bought it straight out with cash. I do not really drive enough to warrant the Prius and the super high monthly payments.
My cast is off …. you can see in the photos. Yeah! I am still not cleared to workout yet but hopefully on the 16th when I have another X-ray the doctor will say I can start trying to bear weight on it. It still hurts a little and especially if I try to lift more than two pounds.
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!
